Shanghai Field Hockey Club - Photo Gallery

On their way to the WGMA World Cup 2008, Australia's finest stopped in Shanghai for some warm up matches. For those not in the know, WGMA stands for World Grand Masters Association and is the world's official veteran field hockey organisation. They brought 60+, 65+ and 70+ teams, managers, trainers, physiotherapists, umpires and plenty of supportors (mostly their wives). And despite their old ages, we had a pretty hard time with them.

In August we were visited by the players from the Flying Hoppers hockeyclub from Switzerland. A serious bunch, that showed us all corners of the pitch.

After meeting in Hong Kong during the Easter 9's, the Beijing hockey club decided to travel to Shanghai for some friendly matches.

Match against Gansu Province's Mens Team on january 13th 2007. We lost 4-3. In a replay in February we lost again.
